I would say With IsolateDestAddr and with IsolateDestPort because it opens relatively few connections. IsolateDestPort is probably irrelevant but would not hurt if you ever come across a website that offers multiple ports.
Use Jdownloader With Tor
Stream isolation is probably not your biggest concern. The question is whether JDownloader appears to be itself or something different when it downloads (fingerprint incl user-agent, etc). Would have to check JDownloader docs - program not necessarily designed with privacy in mind.
This is still not recommended as they may decrease anonymity (e.g. Flash cookies) and they often have security vulnerabilities. Also some popular plugins are closed source; see Security in real world. Although unrecommended, the knowledge of how to use browser plugins is not withheld from the reader.
Firefox version 84 was the final version to support Flash. Firefox version 85 (released on January 26, 2021) shipped without Flash support, improving our performance and security. There is no setting to re-enable Flash support. ...
In all cases, you should always compare the speed in JDownloader vs. the speed in your browser by downloading the SAME file over the SAME service with the SAME account(s) in the SAME period of time.If you are using a proxy/VPN in JDownloader, make sure you're using that in your browser too if you want to get meaningful test results. In a lot of cases you will notice that the speed you get via browser is the same you get via JD which would indicate server issues/slowdowns of the service you are trying to download from.
Slow download speed when downloading from video/streaming websites? Some video streaming sites have bandwidth limits in place - especially those that do not provide any comfortable ways to download their content e.g. a download button on their website. They're basically limiting the max. download speed somewhere near the max. bandwidth of the currently streamed video quality. This ensures that users who stream the video can do so without any lag and prevents bandwidth bottlenecks caused by users who are downloading streaming content. In such a case there is nothing you can do about it.
You may already be familiar with the Mullvad app's built-in "kill switch" safety feature. In other words, in the event that the Mullvad connection is terminated, all of your Internet traffic is automatically blocked, ensuring that your traffic is not accidentally leaked outside of our secure tunnel.
Each Mullvad server can have multiple exit IPs, but if you use the SOCKS5 proxy on the server then you will always get the same IP-address - that of the proxy. This can be useful if you need to whitelist your Mullvad IP somewhere. The proxy provides you with an IPv6 address and an IPv4 address. You can find them on our Connection Check page.
In the default situation (without TOR_CONFIGURE_ONLY and without TOR_SKIP_LAUNCH), Tor Launcher starts tor and then issues a TAKEOWNERSHIP command via tor's control port so that the tor process will automatically exit when Tor Launcher's control port connection is closed. That way we have a much lower risk of an old tor process hanging around if the browser is killed or if it crashes. But when TOR_CONFIGURE_ONLY=1 and TOR_SKIP_LAUNCH=1 are set, Tor Launcher does not TAKEOWNERSHIP (the assumption being that if Tor Launcher did not start the tor process, it is someone else's problem to control its life cycle).
to be honest, it is quicker if you simply look it up. Install latest TorGuard client, enable debugging, connect with desired protocol/settings, discoonnect, then close TorGuard client. If you open your debug file, you will see how exactly TorGuard client connects and disconnects, then simply do the same.
(Specifically for using Jdownloader's Reconnect with Torguard.)Set TorGuard to automatically connect to a server at launch. Then use this as the External batch script in Jdownloader:
This will kill the TorGuard client, wait 5 seconds, then re-open the client, which will automatically connect you to a new IP so long as you have none pinned.Note that the Torguard software doesn't normally like you closing it while connected to a server. (Won't let you do it without ending the task.) In my experience, this closes the application window/system tray icon while keeping you connected to your VPN. Upon relaunching the app, it will connect you to a new server, replacing the one you were connected to. Once you disconnect using the app, you will be back to your VPNless internet. Since Torguard normally doesn't like you closing the application without disconnecting from a VPN, to be more safe than sorry I'll just say: do this at your own risk. It's worked fine for me so far.

This extension can be used to send downloading jobs to IDM download manager. IDM is one of the fastest download manager available for Windows OS. To initiate a download with IDM, enable the extension from toolbar button and then follow the usual download process. Download link will be sent to IDM once it is resolved by your browser. Note that for this extension to send links to an external executable, you will need to install a minimal native client. This native client is required for communication with operating system.
JDownloader is a cross-platform Java-based download manager. This extension integrates this downloader to your browser. Like other Download with X extensions, there are two modes of operation. 1) Aggressive: click on the toolbar button to enable the download observer and proceed as normal to download files. Once the browser initiates a download, it will get canceled out and resolved link will be sent to JDownloader. 2) Normal mode: there is a right-click context menu over links. This item can be used to send the link to the downloader. In the second method, the external download manager will be responsible for resolving the actual downloading link.
Note: JDownloader supports cookies. By default the extension does not allow cookie access to JDownloader. If the downloading server requires cookies along with the URL to allow downloads, enable the option in the options page.
This extension redirects downloading jobs to the well-known DAP download manager. Like other Download with extensions, there are two methods to send downloads to DAP. Either use the right-click context menu (recommended method as it is not aggressive) or activate the toolbar button.
By default, browser extensions are limited to the browser itself and have no access to system level APIs. However, to send download requests to an external executable, there is a need to communicate with an external executable. Normally this is done by having a small native client that knows browser communication language. Commands can be sent to any executable through this intermediate (bridge) application. For these set of extensions, I am using a minimal NodeJS native client. It is originally forked from Andy's native client implementation, though the version is modified by OpenStyles team. The OpenStyles version requires permission for each internal code access.
External download managers usually have their own browser integration. These integrator extensions are usually too aggressive. That means they redirect all your downloads and there is no easy way to temporarily disable them. However, "Download with X" add-ons offer per user request integration. This way you can disable the integration while downloading small-size files and turn it on only when you really want to. Besides, note that "Download with X" extensions use a non-persistent background which means they do not use any resource while they are inactive.
Note that there are two ways to send your downloads to the external download manager. 1) Right click on a click and select the context menu. 2) Turn the toolbar button on and start a download by left-clicking over it as usual. Once link gets resolved, before browser starting the download, it gets canceled out and your external download manager gets called with the proper resolved link. 2ff7e9595c
